Their Future Begins Now!

Confluence is a groundbreaking summit for high school students to explore the water issues facing San Antonio and devise ways they can make a difference. The one-day summit expects more than 1,000 students from 30 public and private schools to participate in the inaugural event. Confluence will focus on five water issues: water quality; water availability; shared resources; affordability; and grease in our sewers.

Some Confluence highlights include:

  • Opening remarks by Mayor Julián Castro.
  • A performance by Kevin Barnes, The Green Magician.
  • 20 professional exhibitors, including the National Weather Service, the Edwards Aquifer Authority and meteorologist Alex Garcia.
  • A lounge area to meet Café College representatives and college recruiters.

The free event includes lunch for 50 students per school, and transportation reimbursement will be available.

Fill out your application and submit by email to lchristopher@saws.org or fax to 210-233-5131.
