he SAWS Disparity Study provides an analysis of the utilization of minority, and women-owned businesses available to engage in contracting opportunities with SAWS. The study evaluated SAWS’ current program and involvement with construction or prime contractors, architecture and engineering consultants, professional service firms and general service firms.
In addition to providing strong support for the utility’s utilization of minority, and women-owned businesses, the study identifies new opportunities for improvement and recommends several strategies to ensure there fair opportunities to compete. SAWS will continue to closely monitor the utilization of all businesses by race, ethnicity, gender and prime and subcontractor levels.
