When the northern states are still thawing out, San Antonio is starting spring. Wildflowers are abundant and early spring perennials put on a show. However, the soil still must warm up before summer plants and turfgrasses hit their prime. Give them a chance to get started. Excess water and fertilizer won’t speed up the process.
