How to Use the SIP Watering Advice
First determine what day of the week
you want to water and plan to water on that same day, your
"watering day", unless you receive rain at your residence.
Use a log to keep track of your watering day and water only on that
day.
 Next,
use the free SIP kit to determine how
much water your sprinkler system emits. That way, you'll know
how long to leave your sprinklers on to accurately apply the recommended
amount of water.
Then, if you haven't already done so, register for an automatic
SIP e-mail or phone message or check online for the daily SIP rate.
The hotline or e-mail will advise you on what to do with the daily
SIP rate for your type of grass. An example of the recording may be,
"For St. Augustine in full sun, water 3/4 of an inch." Or
you may hear, "We received significant rainfall on Friday and
you should not water until your next watering day."
