Level Three: Eagle Course
Program Requirements
In addition to the program requirements listed for Birdie Course achievement,
the following requirements
should be implemented to achieve Eagle Course status
in the Golf Fore SA program:
Water Conservation
Participating golf courses agree to:
- Irrigate at no more than 80% of
ET
- Use a minimum of 50% on-site or SAWS
recycled water for irrigation needs
- Non-course areas must be xeriscaped
- Must have zoned irrigation
in all areas
with irrigation
 Wildlife and Open
Space
Participating
golf courses agree to:
- Develop a Nature Trail open to the public
- Implement habitat enhancement plan
Water Quality
Participating golf courses agree to:
- Identify Water Quality Management Zones
on their golf courses
- Allow storm
water sampling of
golf course
drainage with lab
verifications by
SAWS four
times annually
Community Outreach
Participating golf courses agree
to:
- Host three charitable events annually
- Conduct four public workshops
for area residents
on pesticide and
herbicide
use in the
garden
annually
- Develop and support an outreach program
for disadvantaged youth
