Water Resources Program
For the 2009 CIP, funding from the water supply fee will be used to support the first phase of the Brackish Groundwater Desalination Program. The 2009 CIP funds the construction of brackish groundwater wells and well field collection system, and design of integration lines to move water from the Aquifer Storage and Recovery facility to the western service areas.
Recycled Water Program
The Water Supply Core Business also provides support for the recycled water program. The 2009 CIP includes funding for the addition of recycled water customers, a construction project to connect the Medio Creek WRC to the recycled water system, upgrade of a recycled water pump station, and land acquisition for a recycled water storage tank.
