CIP

Water Resources Program

For the 2008 CIP, funding from the water supply fee will be used to support the first phase of the Regional Carrizo Water Supply Program and Brackish Groundwater Desalination Program. For the Regional Carrizo Water Supply Program, the 2008 CIP includes funding for design projects for improvements to integration facilities and the construction for the western Gonzales County wells and portions of the well field. In addition, the 2008 CIP provides support for the design of brackish groundwater wells and well field collection system, as well as legal services and communications activities to support the program’s implementation.

Recycled Water Program
The Water Supply Core Business also provides support for the recycled water program. The 2008 CIP includes funding for the addition of recycled water customers, the installation of bulk water truck fill stations to dispense recycled water for use in construction activities, and a construction project to connect the Medio Creek WRC to the recycled water system.
