Construction
Construction Project Status Medina River Sewer Outfall Segment 2
Construction Schedule: Mar 2011 - Aug 2012
Project Details

Project Number: 11-2503
Project Category: Collection
Project Type: Wastewater & Treatment

This Project will construct approximately 26 miles of sewer outfall main ranging in size from 24-inch to 96-inch diameter. This project will extend from Dos Rios WRC along Medina River to a point south of Highway 90 and west of Loop 1604 on the west side of Bexar County. The 2011 funding is for Segments 2 and 3. The economic impact of this project can be measured in making possible the future elimination of numerous lift stations in the Far West and South sewersheds, eliminating the need for future expansions to Leon Creek and Medio Creek WRCs, and preventing proliferation of package treatment plants in the South sewershed. The remaining segments are planned for construction in 2012.
Estimated Cost: $15,341,761
