Critical construction projects are underway all over town as SAWS continues its ongoing preventive maintenance and repair of the city’s water and wastewater infrastructure.

Until recently, the rate of infrastructure replacement was only enough to change out each pipe, pump and manhole once every 200 years. Thanks to recent improvements in planning and efficiency, we are now moving toward a more agressive replacement cycle, much more in line with the 70-80 year potential lifespan of most larger mains.
