For the Fourth, Forego the Fireworks

Nothing says Independence Day quite like a cookout, apple pie and fireworks. But this July 4, better leave the rockets’ red glare to the pros.

We don’t mean to be party poopers, but popping or possessing fireworks inside San Antonio city limits is against the law, with fines up to $2,000. To help keep San Antonians safe, fire inspectors and police will be out in force on the Fourth. To report violators, call the Fireworks Hotline at 210-207-0202.

Still sparked-up to see some skyrockets in flight? Visit a theme park or the city’s official July Fourth celebration at Woodlawn Lake.
