Convenience Fees for Credit/Debit Card Users Coming Soon

imageSAWS customers who pay their bills using a debit or credit card soon will be responsible for paying an associated convenience fee. However, several no-fee options still remain for customers to pay their bills.

In the past SAWS had absorbed the fees paid to credit card associations, meaning all customers shared in the $1 million-plus yearly cost of these transactions. The convenience fee charge will only affect customers using debit or credit cards.

The fee will not affect customers who pay by check, cash, their bank’s bill pay service or automatic drafts from a checking or savings account. Look for more information in upcoming Water News editions.
