Community Day at the H2Oaks Center

Unless you’ve been living in a galaxy far, far away, you’ve probably heard about San Antonio’s new desalination plant: the H2Oaks Center.

But did you know it’s one of the largest inland desalination plants in the country? And that the location is actually home to three water supplies? That’s right, desalinated water, stored Edwards Aquifer water and local Carrizo Aquifer water are all managed from the H2Oaks Center control room.

But don’t just take our word for it. Come see for yourself! SAWS is hosting a community open house for you to learn about our newest water source and tour this state-of-the-art facility.

Transportation to the H2Oaks Center in far south Bexar County will be provided from SAWS Headquarters.

Saturday, June 10

8:30-11:15 a.m.

11:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

2:45-5:30 p.m.

There are some restrictions in place for safety purposes. You must be 18 years or older to tour the plant and you must reserve a seat on the shuttle in advance. Private vehicles are not allowed.

Space is limited. Reserve your seat now at saws.org/tour.
