SAWS Tanker Delivering Water to Nearby Campbellton

San Antonio Water System is sending a much-needed tanker truck of water to nearby Campbellton, in Atascosa County, south of San Antonio. The tanker, which holds 5,000 gallons of potable water, will allow the nearby residents (estimated town population of 482) to refill water jugs and other small water containers.
"Our intent is to make sure that people there have the water they need to get by," said Greg Flores, SAWS Vice President of Public Affairs.
The tanker arrived today at 5 p.m., and will remain in place until about nightfall tonight.
