Jazz It Up in the Garden!

It's Garden Jazz time!

imageSAWS 2012 Garden Jazz Party takes place Sunday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Enjoy free admission as well as live jazz music during party hours.

This unique, SAWS-sponsored day at the garden blends water-saving gardening tips with good-natured fun.

Information stations around the gardens will cover topics such as garden planning, plant selection, turf, soil, wildscape, irrigation and landscape maintenance.

If the information is a little overwhelming, experts from Bexar County Master Gardeners and Gardening Volunteers of South Texas will be on hand to answer your pressing gardening queries.

Then, stroll through WaterSaver Lane for the inspiration you need to transform your water-guzzling landscape into a water-savvy one.

Once you're fully galvanized, head to the plant sale and browse a great selection of drought-tolerant plants looking for a loving, water-efficient home.

Hope to see you there!
