SAWS Compost

SAWS COMPOST is a biosolids by-product of wastewater treatment, processed to meet all federal and state requirements for "controlled use" (i.e., without a permit) as a soil conditioner. This product is suitable for use on lawns, flower gardens and other home landscaping and gardening projects. It is prohibited to use this product or apply this product to land except in accordance with the Application Rates for Typical Uses of SAWS COMPOST listed. The maximum application rate for 1997 that does not exceed TNRCC annual metal loading rates is 164 yards per acre per year.

SAWS COMPOST meets the most stringent requirements under title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 503, Standards for the Use of Disposal of Sewage Sludge, and Title 30 of the Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 312, Sludge, Disposal, and Transportation.
