San Antonio Water System’s Courtesy Notice Program offers residential customers with medical necessity twenty-four (24) hours notice prior to interruption of service due to nonpayment. This Program is intended to allow these customers 24 hours to contact SAWS so that payment and/or satisfactory payment arrangements can be made to avoid service interruption.
Eligibility:
- Must be a SAWS residential water and/or sewer customer
- Must be under a physician’s care, or have a household member residing at the property who is under a physician’s care
- Must have physician’s documentation of medical necessity on file with SAWS
How to Apply
A customer desiring to participate in the program must identify himself/herself through completion of an application form provided by the San Antonio Water System for this purpose. The account for which the notice is to apply must be in the name of the individual making such application and the applicant must provide documentation acceptable to the System in order to establish and verify identity and medical necessity.
The applications will be available at any SAWS Customer Service Center, or by calling the SAWS Customer Service line at (210) 704-SAWS (7297).
