Eduardo Parra

Eduardo Parra currently serves as the CEO of Parra & Co, a Texas-based engineering consulting firm that offers project management, consulting, engineering and operations to municipal and private clients. He has served as engineer-of-record and engineer-in-responsible-charge for the design and construction of water and wastewater utility projects, disaster recovery and preparedness efforts, transit projects, stormwater/drainage/flood control projects, civil and coastal engineering, as well as energy-related projects in the U.S. and abroad. He has ample disaster recovery experience in Louisiana and Texas. He has always made an emphasis on implementation of governmental infrastructure projects in an affordable and timely manner. 

In addition to his appointment to San Antonio Water System's Board, Parra serves as a trustee of Opera San Antonio, the Brackenridge Park Conservancy and the World Affairs Council of San Antonio. He is a Fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, an alumnus of Leadership San Antonio Class XXXIX, a former board member of the U.S. Green Building Council in Central Texas, and the past chair for the Energy & Sustainability Committee of the Greater Chamber of Commerce in San Antonio. He was recently honored as San Antonio Business Journal's 2016 40 under 40.

Parra completed his Master of Science in civil engineering and hydraulics from Penn State University in 2001, and has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta in Venezuela.
