Lake Dunlap

Water from Lake Dunlap, which serves northeast San Antonio, is made possible through an agreement with the Canyon Regional Water Authority (CRWA). Through this partnership of water supply districts, utilities, water supply corporations and municipalities, the authority purchases untreated surface water from Canyon Lake through the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority.

SAWS has an agreement to receive up to 4,000 acre-feet* per year of treated surface water from Lake Dunlap. Of this volume, 500 acre-feet per year has been leased to the city of Cibolo through 2018.
