A day’s work at Knights Cross

Safety vests and hardhats aren’t exactly shining armor. But SAWS crew members working an emergency valve installation at Knights Cross Station Oct. 19 were no less worthy of royal recognition than their medieval counterparts. The chivalrous repair was completed in the nick of time, allowing crews to divert flows without loss of service while more extensive repairs are made. Knights Cross is a former BexarMet facility in the Stone Oak area that became part of SAWS in 2012.
