SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Water System (SAWS) has been officially recognized as the 2026 Water Provider Member of the Year by the Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE). The honor was presented during AWE’s Awards Ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, held at the 4th Annual Water Efficiency and Conservation Symposium in Chicago.
The award highlights San Antonio Water System’s nationally recognized conservation programs, its commitment to long‑term water‑supply planning, and its collaborative approach to community engagement and education. Over the past decades, the utility has consistently demonstrated that large, fast‑growing cities can reduce per‑capita water use while strengthening overall water security and resilience.
