San Antonio Water System is responding to a sewer spill caused by debris on the 500 block of Arvil Avenue near Leon Creek, north of Highway 90.
The volume of the spill has exceeded the requirement for public notice at this location. SAWS crews have cleared the blockage and are cleaning the spill. See TCEQ notice for more details. No adverse effects are expected, but SAWS will continue to monitor the area.
Areas prone to sewer overflows are the focus of projects replacing and upgrading capacity of sewer lines.
