Landscape lacking shade? Now is the time to get some trees in the ground. The mild soil and air temperatures provide excellent conditions for the root systems to begin to grow.
Craving color? Try these stunners:

- Gulf muhly grasses look magical in fall, with dainty pink seed heads waving in the breeze.
- Fall aster is a pop of purple perfect for pollinators.
Remember: plants’ water needs (including grass) drop dramatically in fall. Over-watering can lead to plant disease and lawn fungus.
