Ready to apply for SAWS Uplift? Here’s what to expect:

Gather Your Proof of Income Documents
Before you begin, be sure you have proof of income documents for ALL residents living in your home. These may include:
- Federal IRS Income Tax Forms (W-2 and 1099)
- Social Security Administration Award Letters (SS, RSDI, SSDI and SSI)
- U.S. Veterans Affairs Award Letters (VA Disability)
- State of Texas Benefit Payments (SNAP and TANF)
- Texas Workforce Commission Unemployment Benefits
- Texas Child Support Amount Letters
- All Other Types of Income
Helpful tip: You can take pictures of your documents using a mobile device to upload with your Uplift application.

Complete the SAWS Uplift Application
Depending on how many income documents you have, the Uplift application can take up to an hour or more to finish. Please be sure to set aside enough time to complete it.
You’ll also need to log in to the SAWS My Account bill payment website to apply. If you don’t already have a SAWS My Account user name and password, you’ll need to create one.

YOUR APPLICATION CAN TAKE 30 DAYS OR MORE TO PROCESS. Our Uplift team needs time to verify your income information and contact you with questions if needed.
