Meet the Educators
Lynne, Angelica and Heather coordinate the education program for SAWS. Their duties include classroom presentations, conducting field trips, curriculum development and teacher training.
Lynne has a Bachelor of Education in elementary education from the University of Alabama and a Master of Education in middle grades from Georgia State University. She has more than 12 years of formal classroom experience and 15 years of informal science education. She managed school and teacher programs at the Witte Museum prior to working at SAWS.
Lynne is married and has three children. She loves reading, singing in her church choir, doing home improvement projects and is a huge Star Trek fan.
Angelica has a Bachelor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University Kingsville and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Texas in San Antonio. Prior to joining SAWS, Angelica helped educate San Antonio residents about the importance of recycling, municipal solid waste and organic waste with the City of San Antonio’s Solid Waste Management Department.
When she’s not educating others on all things water, Angelica enjoys hanging out with her husband, reading, traveling, playing soccer and hiking with her two boxer pups.
Heather is a Texas tradeswoman through and through! With three state water licenses under her belt, she brings a unique perspective, background and expertise to the SAWS Education team. Heather’s deep understanding of and passion for sharing water knowledge makes her perfectly suited for coordinating and leading SAWS’ education tours.
Prior to joining the SAWS family, Heather worked in the private sector as a landscape designer where she spent countless hours helping homeowners create beautiful, water-saving landscapes.
Heather, along with her husband Brett and their two children, all strive daily to be kind humans who give back to Mother Earth.
