GLOBAL WATER ISSUES
Water is essential to all forms of life, yet many of us take it for granted. There are parts of the world where women and children must walk miles every day just to collect water. Study the status of water in the world and get to know the global arena of non-profit water organizations — so you can help bring water to areas in need.
HYDROENGINEERING
Repairing, maintaining, and building structures that control water resources. That’s what water engineers do, day in and day out. Experiment with the science and technology of moving water from source to consumer and conveying wastewater from consumer to water recycling centers.
WATER INVESTIGATORS
Water is a tasteless, odorless, and colorless chemical substance vital to all forms of life. Nearly three quarters of the Earth’s surface is covered with it. Examine the science of water and why it is so important.
WATER WATCHERS
Water we don’t use is our most important resource. Get to know water conservation methods on a personal and global scale.
AQUATIC ENTREPRENEURS
Entrepreneurs are commonly seen as innovators and sources of new ideas, goods, services, and business. Get to know real-life entrepreneurs who have made an impact on the water world.
AQUAEDUCATORS
Education is key to solving today’s water issues and those that will arise in the future. A skilled, water-literate citizenry is vital — and that’s where you come in! You’ll learn about various types of water education including formal (certified) and informal instruction.
ART OF INFLUENCE
The world’s current water challenges are expected to become even more complex in the future. Skilled, knowledgeable leaders are vital to managing those challenges. Unearth the attributes of effective water leaders so you can begin to influence change.
