SAWS is replacing breakage-prone water pipes. Construction will be located within the southern end of the Oak Park Northwood neighborhood, from Northridge Drive to Eisenhauer Road and Greenwich Boulevard to Chevy Chase Drive.
During the project, you may see lane closures, detours, or construction activity on nearby streets.
At certain times, we may need to temporarily turn off water service while connecting new lines to the existing system. If service will be affected, we’ll notify customers in advance so that they may plan accordingly.

SAWS Shares Water Line Installation Plans

SAWS staff hosted a meeting at the Tobin Library to discuss the upcoming water infrastructure project.
Set to begin January 2027, this project replaces 9,900 feet of water main – a little over the length of 13 Towers of the Americas!
During the presentation, the consultant outlined key details including project timeline, process of construction, traffic control plans, and what customers should expect when the project begins.
Towards the end of the meeting, residents had the opportunity to ask questions related to parking and access to driveways.
