Ed Belmares

Ed Belmares joined the SAWS Board in October of 2020. Belmares is the owner of IConnect, LLC, a management consulting firm focused on business strategy and business management consultancy to small and medium-sized businesses.
Prior to starting his management consulting firm, Belmares served as the chief operating officer for KFW Engineers & Surveying, assistant city manager for the City of San Antonio, and vice president of business operations for CPS Energy.
Belmares has been civically engaged throughout his career. In addition to the SAWS Board, he is also the chairman of the San Antonio board of the American Heart Association. He is also a former chairman of the board for the March of Dimes and served on the boards of the San Antonio Mission Heritage Society and the United Way of Comal County.
Belmares has a Master of Science in public administration from Trinity University and bachelor’s in sociology from Our Lady of the Lake University. He is married to Niki Belmares and they have three children, Stevie, Marisol and Diego.
